Pergolas FAQ’S
Timber pergolas offer a classic, natural look and can be painted or stained to match your scheme. They require some maintenance over the years. Aluminium systems are powder-coated, maintenance-free, and typically engineered to higher tolerances. Many aluminium systems also offer integrated drainage and electric louvres, which timber cannot match. We offer both and will help you decide based on your priorities.
Most pergolas fall within permitted development limits and do not require formal consent. Exceptions include listed properties, conservation areas, and particularly large or tall structures. We check the relevant rules as part of the consultation process.
Yes. We offer options ranging from fixed polycarbonate and timber slatted roofs to motorised aluminium louvre systems that adjust for sun, rain, and ventilation. These are best specified at the design stage so the structure is built to support the additional load.
Absolutely. Integrated LED lighting strips, spot downlights, and outdoor infrared heaters can all be incorporated into the build. We plan cable and mounting routes during the design phase to keep everything clean and weatherproof.
